A Haunting Journey from a Master Storyteller

The film is based on King’s first completed novel. The Long Walk unfolds in a dystopian world where 100 teenage boys are forced to compete in a deadly endurance contest — if they stop walking, they die. The story explores human willpower, morality, and the dark costs of survival.

Director Francis Lawrence, known for his visionary world-building in The Hunger Games franchise, brings that same emotional depth and intensity to King’s world. The result is a gripping and grounded thriller that lingers long after the credits roll.

Star-Studded Cast

The ensemble includes Cooper Hoffman (Licorice Pizza), David Jonsson (Alien: Romulus), Garrett Wareing, Tut Nyuot, Charlie Plummer, Ben Wang, Roman Griffin Davis, Jordan Gonzalez, Josh Hamilton, and Joshua Odjick, with Judy Greer (13 Going on 30) and Mark Hamill (Star Wars franchise).
