The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is an animated feature film by acclaimed filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama. Though a standalone story, The War of the Rohirrim is a companion film to the original trilogy. The story and artistic elements will be woven throughout and reconnect fans to Middle-earth. It will be released on April 12, 2024.
Synopsis
It is set roughly two centuries before “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” events. The War of the Rohirrim will explore the exploits of Helm Hammerhand, the King of Rohan. It will also explore the creation of Helm’s Deep, the stronghold featured in Peter Jackson’s The Two Towers.
