The Night Agent Season 3 Begins Filming: What We Know So Far

Netflix’s The Night Agent is back in action for a third season.

After the success of season two of The Night Agent, the hit show is back to filming for the renewed season three! In February, Netflix uploaded a behind-the-scenes reel on Instagram of the start of production, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey. The Tupras Stadium was also featured in the reel.

Gabriel Basso, the lead actor and artist who plays Peter Sutherland in the hit series, voiced his feelings to TUDUM at the start of production while on set. “The energy’s good,” the actor said. “Everybody’s really excited, so it feels great.” Netflix gave little glimpses of the set in Turkey, which, of course, was set during the night. “We have an action sequence tonight of a reverse 180; gotta get back to it!” Basso showed one of many soon-to-be-seen action sequences for this show.

The show wrapped episode one in Istanbul before the season two press tour, which was filled with vibrant interviews with the cast. Basso even got to have a crossover interview with Noah Centineo, the star of Netflix’s The Recruit. The show had been successful with season one, but for season two, it was streamed in eighty-seven countries, gaining even more popularity and traction.

So where will The Night Agent continue filming?

Well, the show is set to continue production in multiple spots: New York City, Washington D.C., and even Mexico City. Season two filmed its first episode in Bangkok, so the various and unique filming spots this season are no surprise. If anything, it makes the show even more exciting and action-packed for viewers!

Now with how the show ended in season two, it’s unclear whether or not Luciane Buchanan, who plays Rose Larkin in the series, will return. In the season finale, Peter and Rose decided to part ways, for both Rose’s own safety and Peter’s work abilities.

However, with the show’s twists and turns, anything is possible. Showrunners haven’t confirmed nor denied Rose’s return, and even Luciane was sneaky about it in interviews. “I have no idea, and I can’t spoil anything, and I wish I could tell you,” Buchanan smirked as she played coy about her character. “But um, if, you know, Peter does say, don’t come looking for me, and I don’t. Rose takes well to direction. She does whatever she wants. So you’ll never… you never know.”
