Russell Crowe plays Father Gabriele Amorth in The Pope’s Exorcist.
The Pope’s Exorcist is based on the books “An Exorcist Tells His Story” and “An Exorcist: More Stories” by: Fr. Gabriele Amorth. Julius Avery directs the movie inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth. Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe plays Chief Exorcist of the Vatican. It follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy’s terrifying possession and reveals a centuries-old conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden.
