Roku will premiere the new ” The Spiderwick Chronicles” series after Disney+ scrapped it.

Roku will be launching a new original series, The Spiderwick Chronicles, very soon. It is based on the beloved novels after Disney+ opted out of streaming it. The series stars Christian Slater, Joy Bryant, Noah Cottrell, Lyon Daniels, Mychala Lee, and the voice of Jack Dylan Grazer. It will stream for free on the Roku Channel starting April 19. This adaptation brings to life the magical world of Spiderwick. The story follows Helen and her children, Jared, Simon, and Mallory, as they relocate to Spiderwick, their ancestral home. It’s not long before 15-year-old Jared stumbles upon a boggart and realizes that the realm of magical creatures is no mere fantasy. With only his great-aunt Lucinda believing him, Jared embarks on a quest to safeguard the pages of his grandfather’s field guide from the clutches of the sinister Ogre, Mulgarath. Aron Eli Coleite, who is well-known for his work on hit series like Heroes, has taken up the role of showrunner and executive producer alongside Director Kat Coiro. Paramount Television Studios and 20th Television produce the show. Fans are eagerly anticipating the series premiere and Roku has offered a new home for this enchanting tale. The Spiderwick Chronicles promises to take viewers on an immersive journey into a fantastical world. The series is set to premiere on Roku on April 19.
