James Reece begins a globe-trotting mission tied to a dangerous conspiracy and his family’s hidden history.
Prime Video has released the official trailer for The Terminal List Season Two. Chris Pratt returns as Navy SEAL Commander James Reece for a dangerous new mission that takes the franchise around the world. Pratt executive produces alongside Antoine Fuqua, showrunner David DiGilio, and author Jack Carr.
Season Two expands the scale of the franchise after its successful first chapter. According to Prime Video, The Terminal List has reached more than 100 million viewers worldwide to date.
Chris Pratt Begins James Reece’s Next Mission
The Terminal List follows James Reece as he fights conspiratorial forces attempting to disrupt the world order. The first season told a personal revenge story as Reece hunted the people responsible for destroying his family and targeting his Navy SEAL team.
Season Two draws its story from True Believer, the second novel in Carr’s James Reece series. The new chapter finds Reece searching for purpose after completing the list that fueled his violent campaign.
However, his fight is far from over.
The psychological revenge story from Season One now becomes an international espionage thriller. Reece’s journey takes him across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
Along the way, he uncovers a conspiracy stretching from Moscow to Langley. The mission also reveals unexpected connections to his family’s history, making the global conflict deeply personal.
Chris Pratt Calls Season Two a Love Letter
Pratt described the new season as a tribute to the real people who serve within the special operations community.
“This season is a love letter to the special operations community,” Pratt said. “I’m incredibly proud of the journey we went on and what we were able to put on screen.”
The actor said the new episodes combine intense action with a deeper emotional purpose. He also praised the cast and crew for the years of work required to bring the story to television.
“Yes, it’s an action thriller, but there’s also real beauty and poetry in it,” Pratt added. “At its heart, this season is dedicated to the men and women who do this work—the people who operate in the shadows, make extraordinary sacrifices, and rarely ask for recognition.”
Pratt said the team wanted to honor those individuals while presenting the world of special operations with care and accuracy.
“We wanted to honor them and get it right,” Pratt said. “I couldn’t be more proud of what we made.”
Returning Cast Members Join New Operatives
Several familiar characters will return alongside Pratt during James Reece’s international mission.
Tom Hopper returns as Raife Hastings, while Constance Wu reprises her role as journalist Katie Buranek. Dar Salim is also back as Mohammed Farooq, with Luke Hemsworth returning as Jules Landry.
Gabriel Luna joins the franchise as Freddy Strain. Luna is known for his roles in The Last of Us, Terminator: Dark Fate, and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Season Two also introduces an expanded international ensemble. The cast includes Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, Jeremy Bobb and Shiraz Tzarfati.
These characters will become part of a larger conflict as Reece follows the conspiracy across several continents. The international cast reflects the season’s transformation from a domestic revenge thriller into a wide-reaching spy story.
Military Veterans Keep the Action Authentic
Authenticity remains one of the central goals behind The Terminal List. The production once again relies on military veterans to help shape its action, characters, and portrayal of special operations.
Executive producer and former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw oversees the show’s action and authenticity work. He is joined by executive producer Max Adams, a former Army Ranger.
Military veterans also contribute to Season Two as writers, actors, technical advisers and directors. That group includes former Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza, the filmmaker behind Warfare.
Their involvement allows the series to explore more than weapons, missions and combat tactics. The show also examines the brotherhood, sacrifices and moral conflicts faced by people operating within that world.
The Terminal List debuted on Prime Video in 2022. Its success helped establish a larger screen franchise based on Carr’s novels, including the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.
The new season will now push Reece into a much larger battlefield. While he may have finished his original list, the official trailer makes one message clear: The mission is not over.
The Terminal List Season Two will consist of eight episodes.
All episodes will premiere Wednesday, October 21, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video.
