Actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish is hitting the road again with her brand-new Funny and Fearless Tour, and she’s bringing her signature blend of hilarity and heart to Texas. Starting in San Antonio on April 11, Haddish will head to Houston’s historic Heights Theater on April 12 before wrapping up the Texas leg in Austin on April 13.

Fresh off standout roles in films like Disney’s Haunted Mansion and the meta-comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent alongside Nicolas Cage, Haddish continues to prove she’s as fearless on screen as she is on stage. Now, she’s getting back to her comedy roots—raw, real, and ready to make audiences laugh until it hurts.

Haddish shared laughs, life stories, and her love for the Lone Star State in a chat ahead of the tour.

“I’ve probably been to Texas 30, 40, maybe even 50 times,” Haddish said with a laugh. “But for comedy? About four. I got so much family in Texas, it’s in my DNA.” And she’s not exaggerating. Her roots stretch back to the early 1900s when her great-grandparents stopped in Texas during the Great Migration before settling in California. “I think I’ve got over 100 family members in Texas,” she said.

When asked why Houston wasn’t the first stop on the tour, Haddish quipped, “Y’all didn’t buy the tickets fast enough! I’m taking my time with Houston. Y’all are balling out of control.” But the wait will be worth it. Haddish promises fans a high-energy show packed with glitz, jokes, and real talk. “When the sun sets, the glamour will come out,” she said. “I’ll be fearless, hilarious, beautiful, informative—and so funny you might pee on yourself.”

She’s not joking. “Last show I did, someone had a number two accident. And it wasn’t at a geriatrics home!” she added.

For Haddish, stand-up isn’t just another gig—it’s her lifeline.

“I figured out I have an addiction,” she said. “I’m addicted to people’s smiles and to the sound of laughter. When I’m sad, I play videos of babies laughing. It lifts me up.” When she takes the stage, she aims to return that uplifting energy. “I want people walking out of the theater feeling relief, joy, happiness, a little high, and a little sore from laughing so hard,” she said. “Like, cheeks-hurt, stomach-sore, snot-coming-out kind of laugh.”

With years of comedy under her belt, Haddish still draws inspiration from legends. Her Mount Rushmore of comedy includes Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, George Carlin, Dave Chappelle, and Lucille Ball, to name a few. “My mountain’s gonna be big,” she joked. “I even gotta put my grandma on there—she’s been gone three years, but she still makes me laugh.”

Outside of stand-up, Tiffany Haddish continues to make waves in movies, music, books, and voiceover work—like her quirky role in Solar Opposites. “Voice acting is such a special gift,” she said. “You can roll up in sweats with no makeup, but you still have to bring it. And I just binge-watched all five seasons—I love that show.”

Returning to the big screen.

She also recently popped up in Bad Boys: Ride or Die, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence from directors Adil and Bilall—whom she teased she’s already trying to team up with again. “I got another project for them,” she said, grinning. “Tell ’em to call me!”

As for other upcoming projects, Haddish hinted that a long-awaited sequel is finally in motion. “I had a conversation with my reps last night. The script’s ready. She ready!” she said, referring to Girls Trip 2. She also expressed interest in returning for Night School 2 and The Kitchen Part 2.

Tiffany Haddish’s Funny and Fearless Tour is more than a comedy show—it’s an experience, a release, and a reminder of the healing power of laughter. “With everything going on in the world, we need comedy now more than ever,” she said. “If I can help people forget their troubles for a bit and feel joy, then I’ve done my job.”

Tickets are available now here for her upcoming Texas shows, but fair warning—bring a panty liner.
