Havoc brings action-packed mayhem to Netflix.

Tom Hardy is set to return to the action genre in Havoc. It is an adrenaline-fueled thriller from writer-director Gareth Evans (The Raid). The Netflix original will premiere on April 25. It follows a bruised and battered detective who must fight his way through a city’s seedy underbelly after a drug deal goes wrong. His mission is to rescue a politician’s estranged son while uncovering a vast conspiracy of corruption that grips the entire city.

Hardy leads an ensemble cast. It includes Shadow and Bone stars Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Michelle Waterson, Sunny Pang, Jim Caesar, and Xelia Mendes-Jones. The film also features Yeo Yann Yann, Timothy Olyphant, and Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker.
Evans is best known for his work on The Raid films. He is expected to bring his signature kinetic fight sequences and gritty storytelling to Havoc. This is his first feature-length project since 2018’s Apostle, which was also a Netflix release. With Hardy at the helm, known for his intense performances in Mad Max: Fury Road and Warrior, Havoc promises brutal action and relentless tension.
Netflix has been ramping up its action slate, with Havoc positioned as one of its major 2025 releases. Hardy, who also serves as a producer, is no stranger to playing hardened warriors. Fans can expect him to bring his trademark physicality to the role.
With high stakes, bone-crunching action, and a star-studded cast, Havoc is shaping up to be a must-watch for action enthusiasts. The fight for survival begins when Havoc premieres exclusively on Netflix on April 25.
