Tomorrow Never Dies Celebrates 25th Anniversary

James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies, turns 25.

The 1997 007 film Tomorrow Never Dies came out twenty-five years ago today. The eighteenth James Bond starred Pierce Brosnan, who previously played the spy in Goldfinger. Directed by Roger Spottiswoode, the sequel would make $330 million worldwide as it went against James Cameron’s Titanic when it opened in theaters. The film also starred Michelle Yeoh, Teri Hatcher, and Jonathan Pryce.

Synopsis

Media mogul Elliot Carver (Jonathan Pryce) wants his news empire to reach every country globally, but the Chinese government will not allow him to broadcast there. Carver doesn’t take no for an answer and plans to use his media empire to fuel the war between the Western world and China. Thankfully, James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) is on to the insane news tycoon and travels to China to stop him with the help of Chinese secret agent Wai Lin (Michelle Yeoh).
