Tulsa King Renewed for Season 5 Before Season 4 Premiere

Paramount+ is showing major confidence in Sylvester Stallone’s hit crime drama, renewing Tulsa King before Season 4 premieres and moving Season 5 production to New York.

Paramount+ is doubling down on Tulsa King. Sylvester Stallone’s hit crime drama has officially been renewed for a fifth season before Season 4 has even premiered, giving the series one of the clearest votes of confidence a streaming show can receive.

The renewal comes as Tulsa King prepares to launch its fourth season on Paramount+, but plans for the next chapter are already moving forward. Production on Season 5 is now underway, with the series relocating from Atlanta to New York as Dwight “The General” Manfredi’s story moves closer to his mafia roots.

The move represents a major shift for the series while also bringing Dwight’s journey full circle.

When Tulsa King began, Dwight was sent to Oklahoma after spending 25 years in prison and quickly started building a criminal empire of his own. Season 5 will now bring Stallone’s character back toward the world he originally came from.

Production will move from Atlanta to New York to match the storyline planned for the fifth season.

“We are thrilled to bring fans even more of this incredible series, and to be shooting the next season of Tulsa King in New York, where Dwight Manfredi’s story will continue to evolve,” Drew Brown, EVP of Physical Production at Paramount Television Studios, said. “We’re proud of the work we’ve done in Georgia, and it remains an important venue for us.”

The relocation also opens the door for a different visual identity and new criminal territory as Dwight once again finds himself connected to the city responsible for shaping him.

Season 5 production is already underway.

Scarlet Rose Stallone Promoted for Season 5

Several casting changes are also coming with the move to New York.

Scarlet Rose Stallone, who has played Spencer throughout all four seasons, has been promoted to series regular for Season 5.

She will be joined by several new series regulars, including Erik Palladino, Glenn Fleshler, Anthony Skordi and Nickola Shreli.

Palladino recently appeared in I Play Rocky, while Fleshler is known for Billions. Skordi appeared in The Last Frontier, and Shreli previously starred in Power Book IV: Force.

Their additions suggest Season 5 could significantly expand Dwight’s criminal world once the series reaches New York.

Empire State Development President, CEO, and Commissioner Hope Knight also welcomed the production to the state, citing New York’s film and television infrastructure and tax credit program.

Early Season 5 Renewal Shows Paramount+ Confidence

Renewing Tulsa King before Season 4 premieres sends a strong message about Paramount+’s confidence in the franchise.

Most streaming series have to wait for audience numbers and completion rates before receiving another season order. Tulsa King is entering Season 4 with its next chapter already secured and production moving forward.

The early renewal also allows the creative team to build toward Season 5 without leaving the future of the series uncertain.

Dwight’s eventual return to New York feels especially significant considering how much of his story has revolved around building something separate from the criminal life he once knew.

Season 4 appears positioned to push him closer to those old instincts.

What Happens in Tulsa King Season 4?

Season 4 finds Dwight attempting to legitimize his empire while protecting the people closest to him.

Corrupt politicians, dangerous new enemies, and a devastating personal loss begin closing in from multiple directions.

Every victory also forces Dwight to confront harder questions surrounding loyalty, leadership, and ambition. His efforts to hold onto everything he has built gradually pull him back toward the street instincts he developed in New York.

Tulsa eventually becomes a battleground, while Dwight emerges as the threat his enemies can no longer afford to underestimate.

Season 4 stars Sylvester Stallone, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Frank Grillo, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, James Russo, Kevin Pollak and Neal McDonough, with Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany.

Gretchen Mol also joins Season 4 as a series regular.

Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter Continue Tulsa King

Emmy winner and Academy Award nominee Terence Winter serves as head writer and executive producer.

Taylor Sheridan, Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Thomas Kelly and Keith Cox also serve as executive producers.

With a fifth season already moving forward, Tulsa King has clearly become one of Paramount+’s cornerstone original dramas.

Moving Dwight back toward New York also gives the series an opportunity to revisit the mythology surrounding his former life while introducing a new collection of allies and enemies.

Before fans see how Dwight gets there, however, another war is waiting for him in Tulsa.

TULSA KING Season 4 premieres Friday, October 16, exclusively on Paramount+.
