Chaos will be explored in the Marvel Universe in What If…? Venom!
Marvel fans are in for a thrilling ride on February 28th, as writer Jeremy Holt and a team of stellar artists take us on an unprecedented journey in the upcoming limited series, “What If…? Venom!” This five-issue saga explores an alternate reality where the infamous Venom symbiote bonds with Marvel icons like Wolverine, She-Hulk, Loki, and others, creating a chaotic and captivating narrative.
The Venom symbiote, which is notorious for its rocky relationship with Eddie Brock, takes a unique turn in this storyline. Instead of bonding with Peter Parker, the symbiote embarks on a journey through the Marvel Universe, searching for new hosts among some of the most iconic characters in the Marvel roster. What if these heroes, rather than Eddie Brock, were granted the dark and mysterious powers of the Venom symbiote?
The upcoming series aims to offer fans a unique outlook on the origin of the Venom symbiote.
It will delve into the possibilities that could have occurred if the symbiote had bonded with different hosts. Familiar characters like She-Hulk, Wolverine, Doctor Strange, Loki, and Moon Knight will undergo a transformative experience with the symbiote. The series will showcase fresh and innovative designs that explore the boundaries of rage, darkness, violence, hubris, and mischief within these characters.
As readers delve into the story, they will witness the Venom symbiote being rejected by Peter Parker. It will then bond with characters whose personalities and temperaments differ significantly from Eddie Brock’s. In the debut issue, readers will see an unleashed She-Hulk, which offers a glimpse into the chaos that ensues when these iconic figures become Lethal Protectors.
Fans of Marvel can now enjoy the new design sheets and exclusive interior artwork. It offers a glimpse into an alternate reality where Venom is the main character. The series aims to unravel the divergent paths that Lethal Protector could have taken.
