Cynthia Erivo will star in this highly anticipated production. Alongside her is Ariana Grande, the chart-topping pop sensation who steps into the role of Glinda, Oz’s golden girl. The film delves into the untold tale of these iconic witches’ journey through Shiz University. This is where they form an unlikely and profound friendship amidst the whimsical landscapes of Oz. However, their paths diverge after encountering The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, leading Glinda down a path of power and popularity, while Elphaba remains steadfast in her quest for authenticity.
Joining Erivo and Grande are a stellar ensemble cast.
It includes Michelle Yeoh as the regal Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey as the roguish Fiyero, and Tony nominee Ethan Slater as the altruistic Boq. Marissa Bode debuts her feature film as Nessarose, Elphaba’s cherished sister, and Jeff Goldblum embodies the enigmatic Wizard of Oz. Director Jon M.
