Wicked: For Good brings Elphaba and Glinda’s story to its end.

The untold story of the witches of Oz is coming to a breathtaking finale. Universal Pictures has released the final trailer for Wicked: For Good, the highly anticipated sequel to last year’s global hit Wicked. The first installment shattered records as the most successful Broadway film adaptation of all time, earning over $750 million worldwide and winning Academy Awards for Costume Design and Production Design.
A Return to Oz
Directed once again by Jon M. Chu, Wicked: For Good reunites Academy Award-nominated stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda. This final chapter begins with the witches estranged, their friendship fractured by choices that altered the future of Oz.
Erivo’s Elphaba, branded as the Wicked Witch of the West, now lives in exile, fighting to free Oz’s oppressed Animals while exposing the Wizard’s corruption. Grande’s Glinda has embraced life in Emerald City, serving as a radiant symbol of goodness under the mentorship of Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh). Yet beneath her glamorous exterior, Glinda struggles with the growing distance between her and Elphaba.
Conflict and Consequence
As Glinda prepares for a dazzling wedding to Prince Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey), her attempts at reconciliation only deepen the divide between her and Elphaba. The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) tightens his grip, while the lives of Boq (Ethan Slater) and Nessarose (Marissa Bode) hang in the balance. The arrival of a girl from Kansas further disrupts the fragile peace, setting the stage for Oz’s defining moment.

With an angry mob rising against the Wicked Witch, the two women must finally face each other and decide whether their bond can transform not just their own destinies, but the future of Oz itself.
A Star-Studded Ensemble
The cast also includes Bowen Yang and Bronwyn James as Glinda’s loyal assistants, Sharon D. Clarke as the voice of Dulcibear, and returning powerhouse producers Marc Platt and David Stone at the helm. Executive producers Stephen Schwartz, Winnie Holzman, and Dana Fox help carry the stage phenomenon to the big screen once more.
Wicked: For Good is based on Gregory Maguire’s bestselling novel and the Tony-winning Broadway musical, with music and lyrics by Grammy and Oscar-winning composer Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman.
Audiences will witness the emotional conclusion of a generation-defining story when Wicked: For Good opens in theaters on November 21.
