Wish arrives in 4K UHD and Blu-ray this March.

Walt Disney Animation Studios has created a new animated film called “Wish” which will be released on January 23 via major digital retailers such as Prime Video, Apple TV, and Vudu. This magical film will also be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 12, so families can enjoy it at home and experience the joy and wonder of Disney. Read our Movie Review!
The story follows the journey of Asha, a smart and optimistic person living in the kingdom of Rosas. One day, her wish is granted by Star, a limitless source of energy. Together, they embark on a mission to save their community from a powerful enemy. The story highlights the age-old message that extraordinary things can happen when a courageous human forms a bond with the enchanting power of the stars.
The movie has several bonus features, such as a sing-along version with on-screen lyrics.
This allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the world of “Wish” while singing along to their favorite songs. There is also a featurette named “Once Upon A Studio,” where beloved characters from Disney’s Animation of 100 years come together for an unforgettable reunion. “100 Years In The Making,” another bonus feature, takes you deep inside the story of the making of “Wish” and shows you what makes Disney Disney. The documentary discusses the “Wish Equation,” the rules of magic, and the role of music in Disney films. It takes a nostalgic journey through the Walt Disney Animation Research Library, revealing how “Wish” blends new technology with classic animation techniques.


Other featurettes such as “Where Dreams And Reality Collide” and “Asha Means Wish” provide fans with deep insights into the inspiration behind the characters and the world of Rosas. There are also features about the classic Disney villain, King Magnifico, and Star, Asha’s lovable wish facilitator. The bonus features continue with a classified look at hidden references and nods to other Disney films in “WISH D-Classified.” There are also outtakes from the recording booth and a deleted song titled “A Wish Worth Making,” sung by Saba Sabino, which explores the emotions conveyed through the song.
The talented voice cast, led by Ariana DeBose as Asha, delivers outstanding performances, bringing the characters to life. The ensemble includes Chris Pine, Alan Tudyk, Angelique Cabral, Victor Garber, Natasha Rothwell, Jennifer Kumiyama, Evan Peters, Harvey Guillén, Ramy Youssef, Niko Vargas, Jon Rudnitsky, and Della Saba.
