WrestleMania 43 Officially Heading to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2027

WrestleMania 43 is the first outside North America.

WWE has officially announced that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh in 2027. It will be hosted as part of Riyadh Season in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA). This historic move marks the first time WWE’s biggest annual event will be staged outside the United States or Canada.

A Historic First

Since its debut in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North America. It has filled iconic stadiums like the Pontiac Silverdome, MetLife Stadium, and AT&T Stadium. By taking the spectacle to Saudi Arabia, WWE signals a bold step in its global expansion strategy.

HE Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the GEA, celebrated the announcement. He stated, “WrestleMania is already the biggest date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds among wrestling fans around the world. As part of Riyadh Season in 2027, our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania unlike anything the world has ever seen.”

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque echoed the excitement. He said, “HE Turki Alalshikh and GEA have made a massive impact on the world of sports and entertainment. They have been phenomenal partners to WWE, and we look forward to working with them to bring WrestleMania 43 to new heights.”

Building on a Growing Partnership

WWE’s partnership with Saudi Arabia began in 2018. Since then, it has already produced landmark events. It includes Crown Jewel, Elimination Chamber, King & Queen of the Ring, Night of Champions, Friday Night SmackDown, and Monday Night Raw. The collaboration has consistently delivered record-breaking milestones. This January, Riyadh will host the 39th annual Royal Rumble. It will be streamed live on ESPN platforms in the U.S. and on Netflix globally.

The decision to bring WrestleMania to Riyadh also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader vision of becoming a central hub for sports and entertainment as it approaches its 300th anniversary celebrations.

The Scope of WrestleMania 43

WrestleMania is more than just one night—it’s a week-long celebration. Fans can expect episodes of Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and major fan experiences, along with community outreach initiatives benefiting the local region. Historically, fans from more than 60 countries travel to WrestleMania, and past host cities have seen the event generate over $1.5 billion in cumulative economic impact in the last decade.

Early speculation already points to appearances from WWE legends alongside top current superstars. Names like The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes have been floated as potential headliners, though no official match card has been announced.

Following Record-Breaking Success

The announcement comes on the heels of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. With Riyadh preparing to host WrestleMania 43, WWE is poised to deliver its largest and most ambitious production yet, expanding its global footprint and redefining the scale of sports entertainment.
