Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a long time in the making!

The highly anticipated Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which was made possible by an extensive fan campaign, is finally here. The 4-hour Snyder Cut will premiere on HBO Max on March 18th. Before starting your DC adventure, make sure to prepare your snacks and turn off your phones to fully immerse yourself in this uninterrupted experience. Batman and Wonder Woman enlist Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash to form an unprecedented league of heroes, uniting to save the planet from the dire threat posed by Darkseid, Steppenwolf, and DeSaad, and to ensure that Superman‘s sacrifice was not in vain.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League has a unique aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which is a tribute to Snyder’s love for the IMAX format. Despite some visual concerns, this change doesn’t affect the movie much and actually provides a wider view within the frames. The film starts where Batman V. Superman ended and sets a different tone from the 2017 version of Justice League. Instead of comparing it to the previous release, the Snyder Cut focuses on introducing each Justice League member and giving them ample screen time. With a runtime of 4 hours, the plot unfolds slowly, allowing for a thorough exploration of the beloved DC characters. Snyder’s signature stylized scenes, reminiscent of Watchmen, are evident throughout the movie, catering to fans who want more from characters like Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and The Flash.
Fans of action-packed movies will surely enjoy the extensive and thrilling battle scenes in the film. They maintain Snyder’s trademark style throughout the entire duration. Although the visual style may not appeal to everyone, the flawless color desaturation of Superman’s black suit is a visual highlight. However, some critics have pointed out issues with the CGI suit design of Cyborg.
Verdict
I give Zack Snyder’s Justice League a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. I hope this release convinces Warner Bros. executives to let Snyder continue his Justice League story in a different timeline. The movie’s ending, which some consider a cliffhanger, may elicit different reactions from the audience.
