Film and TV’s best honored at the 30th Critics Choice Awards.

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) has announced that the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards will air live on E! on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, with a red carpet pre-show starting at 6:00 p.m. The event will also be available to stream the following day on Peacock. Comedian and television host Chelsea Handler will return for the third year in a row as the ceremony host. It will take place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The awards will continue to honor the best in film, television, and streaming.
“We’re thrilled to be working with E! to present our landmark 30th annual Critics Choice Awards,” said CCA CEO Joey Berlin. “With the incredible Chelsea Handler returning as our host, we know this special 30th anniversary show is going to be our biggest and best yet.” The TV nominations will be announced on December 5, 2024, while the film nominations will follow on December 12, 2024. The Critics Choice Awards have long been regarded as a key predictor for the Academy Awards, recognizing excellence across cinematic and television achievements.
E! is excited to host the event, with Jen Neal, Executive Vice President of Live Events and Specials at NBCUniversal Entertainment, adding, “E!’s longstanding tradition of celebrating pop culture achievements makes it the perfect home.” Chelsea Handler, well-known for her humor and advocacy, expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “Returning for the third year to host the Critics Choice Awards has been made even sweeter knowing it will now air on E! I feel like I’m returning to my birthplace.”
Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment will produce the show.
