“Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of,” said Stiller. “While I have no memory of this, I’m told making season three will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.”
Star and executive producer Adam Scott echoed the excitement
“I couldn’t be more excited to get back to work with Ben, Dan, the incredible cast & crew, Apple, and the whole Severance team. Oh hey, also—not a huge deal—but if you see my innie, please don’t mention any of this to him. Thanks.”
Dan Erickson, the series creator and writer, added, “The idea of getting to make more Severance with the greatest cast and crew on Earth is more thrilling to me than all the world’s finger traps combined. I can’t wait to continue spreading woe, frolic, dread, and malice with these truly incredible people.”
Apple TV+’s head of programming, Matt Cherniss, praised the series’ impact, stating, “What Ben, Dan, Adam, and the talented cast and crew behind Severance have brought to the screen is undeniable magic in a bottle that has captivated audiences around the world. This undeniably brilliant series has brought back appointment viewing in a big way, and after this week’s finale, everyone has to know what happens next.”

Severance follows Mark Scout (Scott), an employee at Lumon Industries who undergoes a severance procedure that surgically divides his work and personal memories. As the mystery deepens, Mark and his colleagues face shocking revelations that challenge the very nature of their existence. Season two introduced new series regulars Sarah Bock and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, further expanding the show’s eerie universe.
The series boasts an impressive cast.
It includes Emmy winner John Turturro, Academy Award winner Christopher Walken, and Emmy and Academy Award winner Patricia Arquette. Additional stars include Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, and Dichen Lachman.
Since its debut, Severance has been widely praised as “one of the best TV shows of the past decade” and a “cultural phenomenon.” Season one earned 14 Emmy nominations, winning for Outstanding Music Composition and Outstanding Main Title Design. It also secured Writers Guild of America Awards for Best New Series and Best Drama Series, along with multiple Screen Actors Guild and Directors Guild nominations.
The first two seasons of Severance are now available for streaming on Apple TV+, with fans eagerly anticipating what’s to come in season three.
