Paramount+ and Avatar Studios are returning to the realms of Avatar: The Last Airbender once again, but it’s not like anything fans have watched before. Unlike the relative conflicts that threatened the Four Nations, what the world is facing now in Avatar: Seven Havens is more devastating.
During the Avatar: The Last Avatar panel during San Diego Comic Con, fans got to watch the first teaser for Avatar Studios’ next series, Avatar: Seven Havens. The upcoming sequel series will premiere this October on Paramount+.
The show’s announcement also coincided with a special screening for Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, which has a limited theatrical run in New York and Los Angeles. The film will release worldwide on July 25 on Paramount+.
What is Avatar: Seven Havens About?
Avatar: Seven Havens takes place years after the conclusion of The Legend of Korra in a treacherous world. Most of the world believes that Korra is responsible for the world’s state of disrepair, but the real answer’s yet to be heard. This time, the franchise follows two young earthbenders who were separated when they were younger. However, one of them is the Avatar.
Due to the fact that the world hates the Avatar, these two sisters must figure out why they were separated, why everyone despises the Avatar, and why everything is in ruin. With human and spiritual dangers hunting them down, the sisters must race to save the Seven Havens before the world collapses.
Avatar: Seven Havens consists of 26 episodes in total and will be split into two “books”, similarly to how Avatar: The Last Airbender was formatted.
Who Is In Avatar: Seven Havens?
The main cast for Avatar: Seven Havens includes Saheli Khan as Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Major Curda as Jae, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin, Dianne Doan as Zi, and Dee Bradley Baker as Geet and Ruhi.
Franchise creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko will be returning as co-creators and executive producers. Ethan Spaulding is also serving as executive producer alongside co-executive producer Sehaj Sethi.
Avatar: Seven Havens begins streaming on Friday, October 9, on Paramount+.
