Disney has released a new teaser for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, the next movie in the hit Descendants franchise.
The new teaser drops audiences back down the rabbit hole as the story moves deeper into Wonderland. Descendants: Wicked Wonderland premieres July 16 on Disney Channel and will be available to stream the next day on Disney+.
It was also revealed that acclaimed actress and comedian Awkwafina voices Chessy the Cat, a new character connected to the movie’s Wonderland storyline.
The new chapter continues Disney’s Descendants universe, which follows the children of famous Disney heroes and villains as they navigate family legacy, identity, friendship, and the pressure of living up to the names that came before them.

Her role as Chessy the Cat brings a recognizable voice to the new Descendants movie as the franchise introduces more characters inspired by classic Disney worlds.

The story centered on whether the children of famous villains would follow in their parents’ footsteps or choose their own path.
