The Hunting Wives star will play Marybeth in Paul Feig’s sequel to the $400 million box office hit.
Brittany Snow has joined the growing cast of The Housemaid’s Secret, Lionsgate’s upcoming sequel to the $400 million box office hit The Housemaid. Snow will play Marybeth, a character alongside returning star Sydney Sweeney. Kirsten Dunst and Paul Anthony Kelly have also joined the sequel, while Michele Morrone will reprise his role as Enzo from the first movie.
Additional details surrounding Marybeth and her connection to Millie’s next dangerous assignment have not been revealed.
Paul Feig will return to direct after helming the first film. The filmmaker is also producing the sequel with Laura Fischer through their Pretty Dangerous Pictures banner. Todd Lieberman will produce for Hidden Pictures, while Sweeney will produce through her Honey Trap banner.
The sequel continues Lionsgate’s adaptation of Freida McFadden’s bestselling psychological thriller series. The first movie became a major theatrical success, earning more than $400 million worldwide.
What is The Housemaid’s Secret about?
The sequel finds Millie accepting another housekeeping job, this time working for a woman she is never permitted to see. Her curiosity eventually leads her toward a locked door and a disturbing truth that could expose secrets even darker than her own.
Snow arrives in the franchise following her role in Netflix’s hit drama The Hunting Wives, which is returning for a second season. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment.
The actress is also widely recognized for starring in John Tucker Must Die, Hairspray, and Universal Pictures’ blockbuster Pitch Perfect franchise. She later appeared in A24’s critically acclaimed horror film X.
Snow’s recent television projects include Netflix’s Emmy-nominated limited series The Beast in Me, opposite Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys. She has also appeared in The Night Agent and Hulu’s Murdaugh: Death in the Family. Her other recent work includes Red, White, and Blue, the Academy Award-nominated short film about a single mother seeking reproductive healthcare.
With Snow joining Sweeney, Dunst, Kelly, and Morrone, The Housemaid’s Secret is assembling another impressive cast as Lionsgate prepares to continue its successful psychological thriller franchise.
The Housemaid’s Secret opens in theaters on December 17, 2027.
