‘Canary Black’ starring Kate Beckinsale, arrives on Prime Video on October 24.
“Canary Black” follows the story of top CIA operative Avery Graves, portrayed by Kate Beckinsale, who is forced into an impossible position. After terrorists kidnap her husband, they blackmail her into betraying her country. Desperate to save him, Graves must navigate a world where allies are scarce and enemies are plenty. Cut off from her own agency, she dives into the criminal underworld, relying on her intelligence and brutal training to stay one step ahead.
Her mission is to locate the highly coveted intelligence that the kidnappers are after. With time running out, Graves’ ability to trust anyone is shattered as she faces betrayal from every angle. In a race against the clock, she must deliver a ransom that, if mishandled, could ignite a global catastrophe. Watch the trailer below!
The action-packed thriller boasts an ensemble cast, with Beckinsale leading as the fearless Avery Graves. The late Ray Stevenson stars alongside her in one of his final roles, bringing intensity and gravitas to the film. Rupert Friend, Jaz Hutchins, Goran Kostic, and Ben Mills round out the cast. The film is directed by Pierre Morel, best known for his work on Taken (2008). Morel’s skill in capturing high-octane tension will be on full display, making the film a must-watch for fans of espionage thrillers. Prime Video will release the film on October 24, 2024.
