Netflix is bringing Harlan Coben’s iconic sports agent Myron Bolitar to life.

Netflix has found its Myron Bolitar. Colin Woodell will star in the title role of Myron Bolitar, the upcoming Netflix drama series inspired by Harlan Coben’s long-running book series. KJ Apa and Diane Guerrero have also joined the cast, giving Netflix its core trio for one of Coben’s most beloved literary worlds.
The series comes from Emmy and Golden Globe-winning writer and producer David E. Kelley and Kyle Long. Kelley and Long will serve as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers on the drama.
Myron Bolitar follows a former college basketball star whose NBA dreams ended after a major injury. After losing his chance at a professional playing career, Myron reinvents himself as a sports agent. However, his work goes far beyond contracts, endorsements, and negotiations.
In Coben’s books, Myron often gets pulled into dangerous mysteries involving his clients. That makes him part sports agent, part investigator, and part reluctant hero. His cases usually mix the high-stakes world of sports with crime, secrets, blackmail, and murder.
That blend has made Myron Bolitar one of Coben’s most recognizable characters. The character first appeared in Deal Breaker in 1995 and has remained at the center of Coben’s longest-running series, which spans 12 books.
Who Is Myron Bolitar?
Myron Bolitar is not your average sports agent. He once had the talent and drive to make it to the NBA. When an injury ended that dream, he had to build a new life. Instead of walking away from sports completely, he created MB Sports, an agency built around overlooked athletes and clients who need someone to fight for them.

That loyalty is what makes Myron different. He believes in people others might ignore. He also has a habit of getting personally involved when a client is in trouble.
The Netflix series will follow Myron as he uses charm, intelligence, and competitive fire to move through the dirty side of the sports world. When protecting his clients means risking himself, Myron steps into danger instead of backing away.
The show will can combine sports drama, mystery, and crime thriller elements, giving the streamer a character with franchise potential, since Coben has built a large world around Myron, Win Lockwood, and Esperanza Diaz.
Colin Woodell Leads The Cast As Myron Bolitar
Colin Woodell will play Myron Bolitar. His version of Myron is a former college basketball star whose NBA career came to an abrupt end. After that setback, Myron becomes a sports agent and builds MB Sports with the same passion and competitive spirit he once brought to the court.

Woodell is known for roles in Pulse and The Continental. Myron Bolitar gives him a major lead role in a Netflix drama backed by two powerhouse names in Coben and Kelley.
KJ Apa will play Win Lockwood, Myron’s closest friend and trusted partner. Win was born into extreme privilege, but he walked away from his family business to create something of his own with Myron.
Win is described as unflappable, endlessly resourceful, and fiercely loyal. He is also the person Myron turns to when a client’s problem becomes dangerous.
Diane Guerrero will play Esperanza Diaz, a former professional wrestler who becomes Myron’s indispensable right hand at MB Sports. Esperanza is the backbone of the agency. She brings grit, sharp wit, and a steady presence that keeps Myron and their clients in check.

Guerrero is known for Orange Is the New Black and The Lincoln Lawyer, while Apa is best known for Riverdale and The Map That Leads to You.
David E. Kelley And Kyle Long Lead The Series
David E. Kelley and Kyle Long will co-showrun, write, and executive produce Myron Bolitar. Kelley’s long television career makes him a major creative force behind the project. His credits include Big Little Lies, Presumed Innocent, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, The Lincoln Lawyer, The Undoing, Boston Legal, Ally McBeal, The Practice, and L.A. Law.
Long’s credits include Suits and Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.
Matthew Tinker will executive produce for David E. Kelley Productions. Harlan Coben will executive produce through Final Twist Productions. Rick Muirragui will also executive produce.
Greg Yaitanes will direct multiple episodes and serve as an executive producer. His credits include Presumed Innocent and House of the Dragon.
Myron Bolitar Will Be Great For Netflix
Myron Bolitar is a major title for Netflix because it brings one of Harlan Coben’s most important characters to the screen.
Coben’s partnership with Netflix dates back to 2018. Since then, Netflix has adapted several of his books, including Fool Me Once, Run Away, Safe, The Woods, The Innocent, Gone for Good, Stay Close, Hold Tight, The Stranger, Missing You, Just One Look, Caught, and I Will Find You.
That partnership has become one of Netflix’s most reliable engines for twist-filled thrillers. Coben’s most recent adaptation, I Will Find You, became Netflix’s biggest original scripted debut of 2026. The series reached No. 1 on the English TV list for two consecutive weeks. It opened with 24 million views in its first week, then grew to 34.1 million views in its second week.
Myron Bolitar also fits into Netflix’s larger focus on book adaptations. Netflix has seen major success with titles based on books, including Bridgerton, The Queen’s Gambit, His & Hers, Leave the World Behind, People We Meet on Vacation, Frankenstein, and 3 Body Problem.
Netflix has not announced a release date for Myron Bolitar.
