Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio surprise Fans at NYCC for ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’

NEW YORK—With an 85-year legacy of storytelling, Marvel and New York City have become nearly synonymous. This connection was on full display at New York Comic-Con. Marvel Television thrilled fans with a surprise appearance from Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. They are the stars of the upcoming Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. During a panel, they announced that the highly anticipated show will launch on March 4, 2025. Event photos are now available.

The revelation came during the “Marvel Fanfare with C.B. Cebulski” panel, featuring Marvel Studios production and development executive Sana Amanat and Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski. The two discussed Marvel’s rich history of telling stories set in New York. Amanat highlighted the experience of shooting the first season of “Daredevil: Born Again” on location throughout the city.

Amanat then welcomed Cox and D’Onofrio to the stage, much to the excitement of the packed audience. The duo shared a special sneak peek of the series. They gave fans a taste of what to expect from the return of Hell’s Kitchen’s blind vigilante, Matt Murdock. They also previewed his nemesis, Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. The actors fueled excitement by announcing the Disney+ release date, marking the first official confirmation of the show’s launch.

Following the panel, Cox and D’Onofrio stopped by the Marvel Booth on the show floor at the Javits Center, where they chatted with fans during Marvel’s Cosplay Competition. The event underscored the enduring bond between Marvel’s stories and the city of New York, especially for a character like Daredevil, who has always been rooted in the grit and resilience of Hell’s Kitchen.

“Daredevil: Born Again” follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer whose heightened senses help him fight for justice through his law firm, even as he continues his work as the vigilante Daredevil. Meanwhile, former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) navigates the political landscape of New York, setting the stage for a clash between the two.
The series also features Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, and Michael Gandolfini, along with appearances by Ayelet Zurer and Jon Bernthal.
