Devil May Cry anime from Adi Shankar arrives on Netflix soon.

Netflix is set to unleash Devil May Cry, a highly anticipated animated series based on Capcom’s hit video game franchise, on April 3, 2025. Helmed by showrunner Adi Shankar (Castlevania), the series brings the demon-hunting action to life with animation by Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra).
The voice cast features Johnny Yong Bosch as the fan-favorite protagonist, Dante, alongside Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Chris Coppola as Enzo, and the late Kevin Conroy as VP Baines in one of his final performances.

The story follows Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire who becomes entangled in a sinister plot to open the portal between the human and demon realms. Unbeknownst to him, the fate of both worlds rests in his hands.

Devil May Cry marks the latest addition to Netflix’s expanding slate of video game adaptations, following successful projects like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Castlevania. With Shankar at the helm, the series promises a dark, stylish, and action-packed take on the beloved franchise.
Capcom’s Devil May Cry first debuted in 2001, quickly gaining a dedicated fanbase for its high-energy combat, gothic aesthetic, and charismatic lead. The franchise has since spawned multiple sequels, spin-offs, and an earlier anime adaptation in 2007.
Devil May Cry premieres exclusively here on Netflix on April 3.
