Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter Morgan alongside Uma Thurman, Brian Cox, Dan Stevens, Gabriel Luna and Krysten Ritter.

No killer could keep Dexter Morgan away from his vigilantism for long and, fortunately, he’s coming back for more. Today, Showtime released the official teaser for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, which premieres on October 30 on Paramount+.
The teaser sees Michael C. Hall’s Dexter Morgan getting an appearance upgrade when he undergoes an eye exam and gets new glasses. However, there are some shots of the Bay Harbor Butcher returning to his old, torturous ways of investigating with his knives and tools. Although there’s not much revealed, fans in New York City got the chance to see what’s actually in store.
Last week, Dexter fans got to see the production in Times Square, which saw Hall acting alongside Uma Thurman, who plays Charley. The day after, some also got to see David Zayas, who returns as fan-favorite character Angel Batista after being brutally murdered during Dexter: Resurrection Season 1.
Viewers can also expect some more surprising faces, including Dan Stevens and Brian Cox.
This season will see Dexter going head-to-head with two different killers: the old and hardened New York Ripper (Cox) and the young and ambitious Five Borough Killer (Stevens). However, things continue to get complicated for Dexter as his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), pursues his own form of justice.

In addition to Cox and Stevens playing Dexter: Resurrection‘s new serial killers, there are a few more faces to add to the board. The Last of Us‘ Gabriel Luna plays the Sleepy-Eyed Stranger, a meticulous killer who slightly moves things around to confuse his victims. Daredevil: Born Again‘s Krysten Ritter also returns for Season 2, though whether she will be returning as Lady Vengeance remains in the air. New images that highlighted these characters were also released, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.
System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian will also make his acting debut during the upcoming season as R.H. Martin, whose encounter with Dexter Morgan appears destined to end violently.
That said, Dexter: Resurrection has never been afraid to bring back dead characters to haunt Dexter’s mind. Some of these characters, like Dexter’s brother Brian, their dad Harry, and the Trinity Killer, were brought back in ways that not only tested Dexter, but shocked fans of the original show. Notably, Dexter’s sister, Debra Morgan, also returned to put fear into her little brother’s heart, but that was back in Dexter: New Blood.
The cast of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is rounded out by Desmond Harrington, Bokeem Woodbine, Nona Parker Johnson, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, and James Remar. The series is executive produced by Clyde Phillips, who also acts as showrunner, alongside Hall, Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns.
Dexter: Resurrection begins streaming on Friday, October 30, on Paramount+.
