The new documentary ‘Beatles ’64’ will debut on Disney+ on November 29.

An exciting new documentary, Beatles ’64, produced by Martin Scorsese and directed by David Tedeschi, will stream exclusively on Disney+ starting Nov. 29, 2024. The film offers an unprecedented look at The Beatles’ first trip to America, a groundbreaking moment that cemented their status as cultural icons and forever changed the music landscape. Featuring newly unearthed footage, the new documentary captures the exhilarating days when Beatlemania took hold of the United States.




The Fab Four arrived at New York’s Kennedy Airport on Feb. 7, 1964.
Thousands of adoring fans greeted them. The sheer scale of Beatlemania was unlike anything seen before in America. It quickly spread from New York across the country. Two days later, on Feb. 9, The Beatles performed live on The Ed Sullivan Show. They delivered a captivating performance watched by over 73 million viewers. It was a record-setting television event. This event introduced the Fab Four to American households coast to coast. Through Beatles ’64, audiences can relive the excitement and magic of that night, which marked the dawn of the British Invasion.
The documentary goes beyond the public spectacle.
It offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at John, Paul, George, and Ringo capturing the personal bond shared by the four bandmates. They navigated the thrilling experience of sudden superstardom. It was also overwhelming for them. Using rare footage, documentarians Albert and David Maysles capture intimate moments in Beatles ’64. Giles Martin and WingNut Films have demixed and remixed The Beatles’ live concert at the Washington Coliseum and their Ed Sullivan Show appearances in 4K, bringing The Beatles’ music to life with new clarity. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, the two surviving Beatles, also reflect on their experiences through newly recorded interviews, offering personal insights into the whirlwind events of 1964.
