We’re revealing the covers and a sneak peek of this upcoming release, which is set to drop on September 4th.

DONALD DUCK BECAME THOR #1, and it draws inspiration from Thor’s legendary first appearance in Marvel Comics—Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Larry Lieber’s Journey Into Mystery #83. The creative team, including writers Steve Behling, Riccardo Secchi, and artist Lorenzo Pastrovicchio, delivers a fresh and hilarious spin on this classic tale. Picture Donald Duck, our favorite feathered friend, taking on the role of the God of Thunder. It’s sure to be a wild ride!
In this issue, Donald Duck, while chaperoning his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie on an archaeological adventure, stumbles upon the Stone Ducks from Saturn—a group of alien invaders ready to take over Duckburg. But when Donald discovers an enchanted cane, he undergoes a transformation that grants him the mighty powers of Thor. Now, with the fate of Duckburg in his wings, Donald must figure out how to wield this newfound strength to fend off the invaders before he reverts to his regular, non-superpowered self. It’s an egg-ceptional twist on Thor’s origin story that promises action, humor, and plenty of quacks.
Editor Mark Paniccia couldn’t contain his excitement, sharing, “When we saw the designs for the Stone Ducks of Saturn and The Destroyer, we literally laughed out loud. I can honestly say I never thought I’d see something like this in my career. I gotta pinch myself to make sure it’s not a dream.”
