Dune: Prophecy Prepares to Transport Fans 10,000 Years into the Past – Teaser Trailer

HBO has unveiled the official second teaser for its upcoming original drama series, “Dune: Prophecy.” The series is co-produced with Legendary Television. This six-episode season will debut this November on HBO and will be available for streaming on Max.

“Dune: Prophecy” delves into the rich universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert. The series is set 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides and follows two Harkonnen sisters as they navigate forces that threaten humanity’s future. The story revolves around their efforts to establish the legendary sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Alison Schapker serves as the showrunner and executive producer.

Diane Ademu-John helped develop the series and is also an executive producer. Anna Foerster is another important executive producer who has directed multiple episodes, including the first. Other executive producers are Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, and Jon Spaihts. Notably, New York Times bestselling author Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert are executive producers for the Frank Herbert estate. Kevin J. Anderson, another New York Times bestselling author, is a co-producer.

Legendary Television co-produced the series and the recent Dune film franchise. The first installment, by director Denis Villeneuve, hit theaters in 2021, winning six Academy Awards. The sequel, “Dune: Part Two,” was released this year and expands the epic narrative.
