Nearly 30 years after Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore first teed off, the iconic character returns. He is back for a highly anticipated sequel. Happy Gilmore 2 will premiere on Netflix in 2025. It reunites fans with the loveable, unconventional golfer. This golfer captured hearts in the 1996 cult classic.
Sandler will reprise his role as Happy Gilmore. He is the underdog who brought hockey-style power to the golf course. Joining him are original cast members Julie Bowen (Modern Family, Hubie Halloween) as Virginia Venit, Happy’s love interest, and Christopher McDonald (Thelma & Louise, The House Bunny) as Shooter McGavin, Happy’s archrival.
Adding to the excitement is the inclusion of global music superstar Benito Martínez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny (Narcos: Mexico, Bullet Train). The star-studded cast doesn’t end there. NFL champion Travis Kelce, iconic rapper Eminem, and comedy veteran Ben Stiller will also make appearances, promising plenty of laughs and surprises.
Happy Gilmore 2 will follow Happy as he navigates the challenges of life and golf three decades after his groundbreaking Tour Championship win. The film is expected to feature Sandler’s signature humor, quirky characters, and heartfelt moments that made the original a classic.
