Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers Star in HIM, Jordan Peele’s Latest Horror Drama – Teaser

First look at HIM, Jordan Peele’s chilling football thriller.

From Oscar winner Jordan Peele and his production company, Monkeypaw Productions comes HIM, a psychological thriller set in the high-stakes world of professional football and fame.

HIM stars Tyriq Withers (I Know What You Did Last Summer) as Cameron Cade, a promising young quarterback whose path to glory is abruptly derailed when he’s attacked by an obsessive fan, leaving him with a traumatic brain injury just before the NFL Combine.

As Cam’s dream of making it pro slips away, salvation appears in the form of his idol, legendary quarterback Isaiah White, played by Marlon Wayans (Air, Respect). Isaiah offers to train Cam at his secluded estate, which he shares with his influencer wife, Elsie, portrayed by Julia Fox (Uncut Gems, No Sudden Move).

But what begins as mentorship quickly spirals into something sinister. As Cam pushes himself under Isaiah’s watchful eye, he’s drawn deeper into a world of manipulation, obsession and sacrifice. He is forced to question how far he’s willing to go to become the greatest of all time.

The supporting cast includes Tim Heidecker (Us, First-Time Female Director), comedian Jim Jefferies (The Jim Jefferies Show), and feature film newcomers MMA fighter Maurice Greene, rapper Guapdad 4000, and Grammy-nominated artist Tierra Whack.

The film is directed by Justin Tipping (Kicks). It is based on a Black List screenplay by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie (Limetown). Tipping also co-wrote the screenplay. Ian Cooper, Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal M. Watson produced the project. Executive producers include David Kern and Kate Oh.

HIM explores the dark underbelly of ambition, idol worship, and the price of greatness. It blends horror, sports drama, and psychological thrills into one unforgettable ride.

The film will open exclusively in theaters on September 19.
