Fathom Events and Lionsgate are teaming up to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the neo-noir action classic John Wick. They are offering a limited return to theaters. The film, directed by Chad Stahelski and written by Derek Kolstad, will be screened for two nights only on November 3, 2024, and November 6, 2024. These screenings offer fans a chance to relive the thrilling experience on the big screen.

The film catapulted Keanu Reeves back into the spotlight, delivering one of his career’s most iconic action performances. Reeves plays the titular character, a retired assassin forced back into the underworld after a personal tragedy. When members of a notorious New York mob kill his beloved dog—his final gift from his late wife—Wick embarks on a relentless mission of vengeance. His return to violence sets him on a collision course with some of the deadliest figures in the criminal underworld.
The film’s star-studded cast includes the late Michael Nyqvist as the mob boss Viggo Tarasov, Alfie Allen as his reckless son Iosef, and Willem Dafoe as Marcus, a former associate of Wick. Adrianne Palicki, Bridget Moynahan, Dean Winters, John Leguizamo, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Toby Leonard Moore round out the ensemble.
With its sleek direction, highly stylized action sequences, and intense fight choreography, John Wick breathed new life into the action genre. Stahelski, a former stuntman, brought a fresh approach to the film’s action scenes, utilizing long takes and intricate choreography to showcase Wick’s lethal skills. Kolstad’s writing and Stahelski’s vision created a dark, immersive world that spawned a successful franchise.
The film’s anniversary screenings are expected to draw longtime fans and newcomers alike, eager to witness the adrenaline-pumping action in theaters again. Over the past decade, John Wick has become a beloved action film and given rise to three sequels, with each installment expanding the rich mythology of its assassin-filled universe.
