Krull Debuts on 4K Ultra HD in Limited Edition Steelbook

Cult fantasy classic Krull finally debuts on 4K Ultra HD.

The beloved fantasy adventure Krull is making its highly anticipated debut on 4K Ultra HD for the first time. The limited edition Steelbook release will be available starting September 16. Finally, longtime fans and collectors can re-experience the cult classic like never before.

A Magical Quest Reimagined in 4K

Originally released in 1983, Krull follows Prince Colwyn (Ken Marshall) on a daring quest to rescue his kidnapped bride, Princess Lyssa (Lysette Anthony), from the evil Beast. Set in a world filled with mythological creatures and mystical landscapes, Colwyn must recover the legendary Glaive, a magical five-pointed weapon, to battle the dark forces and save his kingdom.

Directed by Peter Yates and written by Stanford Sherman, Krull combines elements of sword-and-sorcery, fantasy, and science fiction, earning its status as a fan favorite over the decades.

Fully Restored for 4K Ultra HD

Krull’s 4K Ultra HD release has been fully restored from the original camera negative and approved by cinematographer Peter Suschitzky. The film will be presented in stunning 4K resolution with Dolby Vision and enhanced audio. It includes English Dolby Atmos, English 5.1, and 2-Channel Surround.

The Blu-ray Disc, included in the set, features the film in HD resolution sourced from the 4K master, along with English 5.1 and 2-Channel Surround soundtracks.

In addition to the new transfer, fans will get access to an array of special features, including:

  • Audio commentary with director Peter Yates, actors Ken Marshall and Lysette Anthony, and editor Ray Lovejoy
