The live-action Lilo & Stitch is coming May 2025.
Disney fans, brace yourselves—Stitch is causing chaos again! The first teaser for the live-action reimagining of Lilo & Stitch has just dropped, and it’s as adorable as it is mischievous. In the short clip, the iconic alien Experiment 626 gleefully demolishes a sandcastle in the shape of Disney’s castle logo, showcasing his trademark blend of cuteness and mayhem.

Hitting theaters on May 23, 2025, Lilo & Stitch brings the heartwarming and hilarious story of an unlikely friendship to life. Dean Fleischer Camp directs the movie. He is best known for his Oscar-nominated film Marcel the Shell with Shoes On. The movie stars an impressive cast. Newcomer Maia Kealoha makes her debut as Lilo, joined by Sydney Elizabeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis. Original Stitch voice actor Chris Sanders returns, bringing the same charm to his role.
The live-action adaptation aims to preserve the heart of the 2002 animated classic.
The story remains centered on a lonely Hawaiian girl who befriends a rogue alien, finding connection and healing in the most unexpected way. The teaser nods to Stitch’s cheeky personality.
