New teaser sets stage for “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” season two.
Apple TV has revealed a massive preview for the second season of its global sci-fi hit “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.” The 10-episode season will premiere worldwide on Friday, February 27, 2026. A new episode, followed by weekly releases every Friday through May 1.
The series stars Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm. The new teaser sets up another high-stakes chapter for one of Apple TV’s biggest genre titles.
A Recap of Season One
Season one followed siblings who sought answers about their family’s secret ties to the covert organization known as Monarch. Their search led them into a hidden world of monsters and into the orbit of Army officer Lee Shaw, portrayed in dual timelines by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell. The story unfolded in the 1950s and the present day, revealing the dangerous knowledge Shaw carried and how it threatened Monarch’s future.
What Season Two Will Explore
Season two continues with Monarch — and humanity — facing an uncertain future. The story dives deeper into buried secrets that pull familiar heroes and villains back into each other’s paths. The new chapter takes viewers to Skull Island, home of Kong, and introduces a mysterious village tied to a Titan rising from the sea.
As the ripple effects of the past collide with the present, alliances blur and long-standing bonds are tested. With another Titan-level event looming, the world of Monarch grows even more unpredictable.
A Growing Monsterverse Legacy
Legendary’s Monsterverse has become an expansive storytelling universe crossing film, television, and streaming. Its mythology spans from 2014’s Godzilla through Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, and the blockbuster Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the highest-grossing installment in the franchise. The upcoming sequel Godzilla x Kong: Supernova arrives in 2027.
The Monsterverse has earned more than $2.5 billion worldwide, with “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” serving as one of its biggest television extensions.
