Two beloved Jerry Bruckheimer blockbusters return in stunning 4K with collectible SteelBook editions, upgraded sound and picture, and special features.
Two of Nicolas Cage’s most iconic blockbusters are getting the ultimate home entertainment upgrade just in time for the holidays.
Disney has announced that Con Air and National Treasure will arrive on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray SteelBook on November 10, 2026. Both films have been restored in 4K and feature Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, bringing enhanced picture quality and immersive sound to two action-packed adventures from different eras of Cage’s career.
National Treasure will also make its 4K Ultra HD Digital debut on the same day, while Con Air previously received a 4K digital release in 2025.
Produced by legendary filmmaker Jerry Bruckheimer, both movies helped establish Cage as one of Hollywood’s most recognizable blockbuster stars. From a prison transport hijacking thousands of feet in the air to a nationwide hunt involving the Declaration of Independence, the films showcase two very different sides of the Academy Award-winning actor.
The upcoming releases feature collectible SteelBook packaging and additional content, giving longtime fans and physical media collectors an opportunity to revisit these action favorites in a premium format.
Con Air Returns With Explosive Action and a Limited-Edition SteelBook
Released in 1997, Con Air arrived during Cage’s blockbuster action era, following his performance in The Rock and before his unforgettable role in Face/Off.
Directed by Simon West, the R-rated action thriller stars Cage as Cameron Poe, a former U.S. Army Ranger who receives parole after serving time for manslaughter. His journey home takes a deadly turn when a group of dangerous criminals hijacks the prison transport aircraft carrying him.
With innocent lives at stake and a reunion with his family hanging in the balance, Poe must stop the criminals before they escape.
The film features an impressive ensemble, including John Malkovich as Cyrus “The Virus” Grissom, John Cusack as U.S. Marshal Vince Larkin, and Steve Buscemi as Garland Greene. Ving Rhames, Colm Meaney and Dave Chappelle also appear in the action-packed thriller.
Con Air received two Academy Award nominations, including Best Sound and Best Original Song for “How Do I Live.”
The new limited-edition SteelBook includes the film in 4K Ultra HD, a Blu-ray disc, and a digital code.
Its Blu-ray bonus features include “A View from Above” and “The Destruction of Las Vegas,” offering additional content centered on the making of the film and its spectacular action.
With its larger-than-life characters, memorable dialogue, and explosive finale, Con Air remains a recognizable example of the high-concept action movies that dominated the 1990s.
National Treasure Brings Its Historic Adventure to 4K
Seven years after Con Air, Cage reunited with Bruckheimer for National Treasure, an action-adventure film that traded prison planes and explosions for historical mysteries, elaborate puzzles, and a legendary treasure hunt.
Directed by Jon Turteltaub and released in 2004, the PG-rated adventure follows Benjamin Franklin Gates, a historian and cryptologist whose lifelong obsession with a legendary treasure leads him to a startling discovery.
The key to finding the treasure lies in a hidden map on the back of the Declaration of Independence.
When dangerous rivals threaten to steal the document and uncover its secrets, Gates realizes he must pull off an extraordinary heist to protect the treasure and solve the mystery before anyone else.
Cage leads a cast that includes Diane Kruger as Abigail Chase, Justin Bartha as Riley Poole, and Sean Bean as rival treasure hunter Ian Howe. Jon Voight, Harvey Keitel and Christopher Plummer also star.
The movie combined American history, conspiracy theories and elaborate riddles with the fast-paced action associated with Bruckheimer’s productions.
Its success also launched a franchise, with Cage returning for the 2007 sequel National Treasure: Book of Secrets.
The upcoming National Treasure SteelBook will feature the film in 4K Ultra HD alongside a bonus audio commentary featuring director Turteltaub and Bartha.’
The film will also become available to own digitally in 4K Ultra HD for the first time.
Con Air and National Treasure arrive on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray SteelBook on November 10, 2026. National Treasure will also debut on 4K Ultra HD Digital that day.
