Richard Belzer was a comedian and actor.
Richard Belzer, the actor best known for his role in Law and Order, has passed away. He was 78. Belzer played the character John Munch who originally appeared in s Homicide: Life on the Street before jumping to Law and Order. He was in the first fifteen seasons of SVU from 1999 to 2014. Belzer began his career as a stand-up comedian in New York City. He had many film and TV roles, such as in Author! Author! Scarface, Moonlighting, Miami Vice, and Tattingers The Flash, X-Files, and in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
