Milly Alcock and Julianne Moore Lead Cult-Inspired Thriller Sirens on Netflix This May

Netflix’s Sirens is a twisted weekend getaway you won’t forget.

Netflix’s new dark comedy Sirens will premiere in the United States on May 22, 2025, and it’s already turning heads with its star-studded cast and provocative premise.

Starring Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Milly Alcock, Sirens follows Devon DeWitt (Fahy), a sharp-tongued woman in crisis who becomes increasingly alarmed by the strange relationship between her younger sister, Simone (Alcock), and her new employer — the glamorous, enigmatic Michaela Kell (Moore). What begins as a weekend intervention quickly spirals into a sinister power struggle at Michaela’s lavish island estate.

The series is a razor-sharp commentary on class, power, and complicated sisterhood.

Sirens blends biting humor with psychological tension in a story that unfolds over one explosive weekend. Michaela’s world of luxury and influence is seductive — and dangerous — drawing Simone deeper while Devon races to pull her out.

Moore plays Michaela Kell, a high-society philanthropist and animal rights activist who reigns over the island elite and shares a suspiciously intimate bond with Simone. Kevin Bacon joins as her billionaire husband, Peter Kell — a rugged, old-money figure who dominates every room he enters. Rounding out the cast are Glenn Howerton as a yacht-club playboy, Felix Solis as the island’s shadowy security chief, and Bill Camp as the DeWitt sisters’ proud but ailing father.

Additional cast includes Josh Segarra (Scream), Trevor Salter (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law), Britne Oldford (The Umbrella Academy), Lauren Weedman (Hacks), Jenn Lyon (Claws), Erin Neufer (Fellow Travelers), and Emily Borromeo (FBI: Most Wanted). Lyon, Neufer, and Borromeo portray “The Fates,” a chilling trio of loyal Michaela followers known for their identical looks and cult-like devotion.

With a mix of satire, suspense, and social commentary, Sirens is poised to be one of spring’s most buzzed-about releases.
