The legendary actor and Oscar-winning composer will reunite in Brooklyn for an exclusive celebration featuring I Play Rocky director Peter Farrelly, star Anthony Ippolito and a live orchestral screening of the original film.

Fifty years after Sylvester Stallone introduced audiences to one of cinema’s greatest underdogs, the Italian Stallion is returning to the spotlight for a celebration worthy of a champion.
Sylvester Stallone and legendary composer Bill Conti will reunite for a special one-night-only celebration of Rocky’s 50th anniversary at Brooklyn’s historic Kings Theatre on November 5, 2026. The event promises an unforgettable evening honoring the Academy Award-winning film that transformed Stallone into a Hollywood superstar and inspired generations of moviegoers.
TCG Entertainment, in association with Amazon MGM Studios, announced the special gathering as part of its ongoing ROCKY in Concert tour. The evening will feature an exclusive live conversation with Stallone and Conti, followed by a screening of the original 1976 classic accompanied by a live symphony orchestra.
Adding another exciting element to the celebration, Academy Award-winning filmmaker Peter Farrelly and actor Anthony Ippolito will also appear to discuss their upcoming film, I Play Rocky, which explores Stallone’s extraordinary journey to bring his iconic character to the big screen.
Stallone and Conti Celebrate 50 Years of Rocky
Few films have left a cultural impact quite like Rocky. Released in 1976, the sports drama follows Rocky Balboa, a struggling Philadelphia boxer who receives an unlikely opportunity to fight heavyweight champion Apollo Creed.
Written by and starring Stallone, the film became a defining underdog story, winning three Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and launching one of Hollywood’s most beloved franchises.
Conti’s unforgettable musical contributions helped turn Rocky into a cinematic phenomenon. His triumphant theme, “Gonna Fly Now,” became synonymous with determination, perseverance, and the belief that even the biggest obstacles can be overcome.
For the anniversary celebration, Stallone and Conti will share their memories of developing the original film, creating its legendary soundtrack, and building a creative friendship that helped shape movie history.
Their reunion also serves as a reminder of how much the film’s success depended on the combination of Stallone’s deeply personal storytelling and Conti’s emotionally powerful score.
I Play Rocky Brings Stallone’s Incredible Journey Full Circle
The celebration will also connect the original masterpiece with a new film revisiting its remarkable origins.
Directed by Peter Farrelly, I Play Rocky stars Anthony Ippolito as a young Sylvester Stallone, chronicling the actor’s determination to get his screenplay made while refusing to surrender the role of Rocky Balboa.
Long before the character became a household name, Stallone was an aspiring actor fighting to prove himself in an industry that had little faith in his potential as a leading man.
Rather than simply selling his screenplay and allowing an established Hollywood star to take the role, Stallone remained committed to portraying the character he created.
His determination ultimately changed his career and the course of movie history.
The upcoming film explores the sacrifices, setbacks, and unwavering self-belief behind one of Hollywood’s most extraordinary success stories.
Having Farrelly and Ippolito participate alongside Stallone offers audiences a rare opportunity to celebrate both the original achievement and the remarkable real-life story behind it.
The event arrives at a fitting moment, with I Play Rocky introducing the origins of the franchise to a new generation while the concert tour honors the film that started everything.
Rocky in Concert Brings the Original Classic to Life
Following the special conversation, audiences will experience ROCKY in Concert, an immersive live-to-film presentation combining the original motion picture with a full symphony orchestra.
The orchestra will perform Conti’s celebrated score in synchronization with the film, allowing audiences to experience its most unforgettable moments with the power and energy of live music.
From Rocky’s grueling training sessions through the streets of Philadelphia to his climactic battle with Apollo Creed, the production aims to capture the emotion, excitement, and heart of the original masterpiece.
The iconic music remains one of the defining elements of the franchise, with themes that continue to inspire audiences across generations.
The tour is produced by TCG Entertainment, whose owner Stephen Cook expressed his excitement about bringing together the creative forces behind the film.
“Touring ROCKY in Concert during the film’s 50th anniversary has been a thrill for our entire team,” Cook said.
He continued:
“It is a tremendous honor to welcome Mr. Stallone and Mr. Conti for this extraordinary celebration. Rocky has left an indelible mark on film and music history, and we are proud to bring them together in Brooklyn for such a meaningful occasion.”
Cook also emphasized the importance of introducing the franchise to new generations while celebrating its enduring legacy.
Although the Brooklyn engagement will feature the exclusive reunion, the larger concert tour will bring the experience to audiences throughout the United States and internationally.
