Guy Ritchie’s hit Netflix crime series assembles a star-studded cast as Eddie and Susie expand their criminal empire into the Middle East.

The criminal underworld is about to get much bigger. Netflix has officially confirmed that production is underway on Season 3 of THE GENTLEMEN, and Guy Ritchie’s hit crime series is welcoming an impressive collection of Hollywood stars into its dangerous world of wealth, power and organized crime.
Leading the massive casting announcement are Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom and Robert Carlyle, alongside Dexter Fletcher, Bruna Marquezine, Ed Speleers, Saffron Burrows and Bugzy Malone. The eight newcomers will join returning stars Theo James and Kaya Scodelario as their characters embark on an ambitious international venture that could change the future of their criminal empire.
Currently filming across the United Kingdom and Morocco, the third season will take Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass beyond their familiar territory as they attempt to establish a casino in the Middle East. However, their latest business venture comes with dangerous consequences, raising questions about whether Eddie’s growing appetite for power has finally pushed him too far.
The production announcement follows Netflix’s decision to renew the series for a third season before its second installment premiered in September. The early renewal reflected the streamer’s confidence in Ritchie’s expanding crime franchise, which has evolved from a story about an aristocrat inheriting a marijuana empire into an international saga involving dangerous alliances, shifting loyalties and increasingly powerful enemies.
With eight new cast members, familiar faces returning and a new international setting, The Gentlemen is preparing for its most ambitious chapter yet.
Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom and Robert Carlyle Headline Major Season 3 Casting Announcement
Netflix is significantly expanding the ensemble for the third season, bringing together actors from some of Hollywood’s most recognizable franchises and acclaimed television productions.
Among the biggest additions is Robert Carlyle, the Scottish actor whose extensive career includes Trainspotting, The Full Monty, 28 Weeks Later, and Once Upon a Time. Carlyle’s ability to portray unpredictable, intimidating and morally complicated characters makes him an intriguing addition to a series built around dangerous personalities and constantly shifting power dynamics.

Joining him is Elijah Wood, best known for portraying Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Beyond his celebrated fantasy role, Wood has developed an impressive career in independent cinema, horror and television, including Yellowjackets, Maniac and Wilfred.

Fellow Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom also joins the expanding cast. Bloom, widely recognized for portraying Legolas in the fantasy franchise and Will Turner in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean films, brings another major Hollywood name into Ritchie’s criminal universe.
The announcement creates an unexpected reunion between two actors closely associated with Middle-earth.
Another notable addition is Dexter Fletcher, whose connection to Ritchie’s filmmaking history dates back to the director’s 1998 breakout crime comedy Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Fletcher later established himself as a successful filmmaker, directing Eddie the Eagle, Rocketman and Ghosted.

Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine also joins Season 3 after gaining international recognition for portraying Jenny Kord in DC’s Blue Beetle.

Rounding out the additions are Ed Speleers, whose credits include You and Outlander; Saffron Burrows, known for You and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds; and British rapper and actor Bugzy Malone, who previously collaborated with Ritchie on The Gentlemen film and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre.
The complete list of newly announced cast members includes:
- Robert Carlyle
- Elijah Wood
- Orlando Bloom
- Dexter Fletcher
- Bruna Marquezine
- Ed Speleers
- Saffron Burrows
- Bugzy Malone
Theo James and Kaya Scodelario Return to Lead the Expanding Criminal Empire
While the incoming talent introduces fresh possibilities, the central partnership between Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass remains the driving force behind The Gentlemen.

Theo James returns as Eddie, the aristocrat who unexpectedly inherited his family’s estate and discovered that its enormous wealth was connected to a sophisticated marijuana operation.
Originally reluctant to become involved in the criminal underworld, Eddie gradually adapted to the dangerous circumstances surrounding his inheritance. His growing confidence and increasingly ambitious decisions have transformed him from an outsider into someone capable of navigating the ruthless business environment that once threatened to destroy his family.
Kaya Scodelario will reprise her role as Susie Glass, the intelligent and formidable criminal operator whose family enterprise became intertwined with Eddie’s future.
Their partnership has remained one of the show’s most compelling relationships, combining business strategy, competing ambitions, personal tensions and a mutual understanding of the dangers associated with their work.
Season 3 will continue exploring the consequences of their expanding operations as they pursue opportunities far beyond the English countryside.
Several familiar performers are also returning, including Ray Winstone as criminal patriarch Bobby Glass, Joely Richardson as Lady Sabrina Horniman and Vinnie Jones as Geoff Seacombe.
Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins and Benjamin Clementine will also return for the next installment.
Additionally, television personality Maya Jama is returning as Aisha, the glamorous and well-connected fixer who entered the story during Season 2.
The Gentlemen Season 3 Story Takes Eddie and Susie to the Middle East
The upcoming season will introduce Eddie and Susie’s most ambitious undertaking yet: building a casino in the Middle East.
Although Netflix is keeping additional story details under wraps, the premise represents a substantial escalation from the underground cannabis operation that originally introduced Eddie to the criminal world.
The planned casino suggests a move toward a different level of wealth, influence, and international business, placing the characters in unfamiliar territory where their existing connections may not be enough to protect them.
However, as their empire grows, so does the danger surrounding it.
According to Netflix’s official synopsis, Eddie and Susie’s latest undertaking will force them to confront new threats while questioning whether the Duke’s unchecked ambition has finally gone too far.
The story builds upon the evolution of Eddie’s character throughout the series.
During the first season, Eddie initially sought to separate his family’s estate from the criminal activities operating beneath it. As the story progressed, he began recognizing the opportunities associated with the organization, ultimately becoming more deeply involved in the world he once wanted to escape.
The second season expanded the operation into international territory, with Eddie and Susie attempting to strengthen their position while navigating powerful figures and complicated business relationships.
Now, the proposed casino represents their next major challenge.
Unlike the relatively concealed marijuana operation that helped establish their criminal empire, developing a major casino could place Eddie and Susie in contact with wealthy investors, influential figures, and dangerous competitors operating on an international scale.
The potential consequences extend beyond their personal fortunes, particularly as Eddie’s increasingly aggressive ambitions threaten to expose the people closest to him to greater risks.
Guy Ritchie Promises a Bigger World and More Dangerous Consequences
Guy Ritchie remains a central creative force behind the series, continuing the distinctive style of filmmaking that helped establish his reputation through crime stories featuring eccentric criminals, complicated schemes and unpredictable betrayals.
The filmmaker believes the show’s expanding scale has made its continuation a natural progression.
“The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded, and the consequences carry weight. A third season felt inevitable, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further.”
Netflix has not announced an official premiere date for Season 3.
