Texas Chain Saw Massacre 50th Anniversary Chainsaw Edition Revealed

Limited Edition Texas Chain Saw Massacre 50th Anniversary set coming this month.

Dark Sky Selects has announced the highly anticipated Texas Chain Saw Massacre 50th Anniversary Chainsaw Edition. This limited collector’s set will be available this month. It celebrates the legacy of Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic with an exclusive multi-disc release. The set features a 4K UHD edition, a Blu-ray bonus disc with new features, and a VHS edition of the film.

The collector’s edition will be packaged in a unique box designed to replicate the iconic chainsaw from the film. Opening the box triggers the infamous chainsaw sound, bringing Leatherface’s presence to life. With only 5,000 individually numbered sets available, this limited run is sure to become a prized possession for horror fans. Each set is priced at $299.98 and will be sold exclusively on DarkSkySelects.com.

The package includes four feature-length commentaries from key figures such as writer-director Tobe Hooper, actor Gunnar Hansen (Leatherface), and cinematographer Daniel Pearl. The Blu-ray bonus disc will offer fresh insights with new content. It includes “The Merchandise of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” and “The Restoration of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.”

Fans can also expect hours of additional content. It includes a feature-length documentary, The Legacy of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a conversation between filmmakers William Friedkin and Tobe Hooper, and several interviews with cast and crew. Highlights include deleted scenes, outtakes, a blooper reel, and a tour of the original Texas Chainsaw house with Hansen.
