Lionsgate resurerects cult classic The Crow starring Bill Skarsgård.

Rupert Sanders’ adaptation of “The Crow” will hit theaters on June 7th, 2024. This modern retelling tells the iconic tale of love, loss, and revenge. Bill Skarsgård will play the brooding role of Eric Draven, a goth rocker whose life tragically ends together with his lover, Shelly, portrayed by FKA Twigs. As the couple falls victim to the demons of Shelly’s past, played with insinuating menace by Danny Huston, Eric is thrust into a limbo state between the realms of the living and the dead, setting the stage for his relentless quest for vengeance.

“The Crow” holds a special place in cinematic history, with the original 1994 film enduringly impacting audiences worldwide. Tragically, the production was overshadowed by the untimely death of its star, Brandon Lee, who was fatally wounded during filming. Sanders’s remake pays homage to Lee’s legacy while offering a fresh interpretation of James O’Barr’s beloved graphic novel.
