Watch the Official Trailer for Stephen King’s The Monkey

The Monkey comes to theaters on February 21.

Stephen King fans are in for a chilling treat as The Monkey hits theaters on February 21. The film is based on King’s short story. It is directed by Osgood Perkins Longlegs. James Wan, the mastermind behind The Conjuring and Saw franchises, produces it.

The Monkey follows the haunting tale of twin brothers who stumble upon a mysterious wind-up monkey toy. The seemingly innocuous object unleashes a string of bizarre and tragic deaths, tearing their family apart. Fast forward 25 years, and the cursed monkey returns, reigniting the deadly chaos and forcing the estranged brothers to confront the sinister truth behind the toy.

The film’s chilling premise is brought to life by a stellar cast.

Theo James (White Lotus) and Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings) star as the adult brothers grappling with their dark past. Emmy-winner Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) adds her talent to the ensemble, alongside rising stars Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth) and Colin O’Brien (The Mothership). Rohan Campbell (Halloween Ends) and Sarah Levy (Schitt’s Creek) round out the impressive cast.

Known for his atmospheric storytelling, Osgood Perkins is no stranger to the horror genre. With credits like The Blackcoat’s Daughter and I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, Perkins brings a uniquely unsettling vision to King’s tale. Paired with James Wan’s knack for crafting edge-of-your-seat scares, The Monkey promises to deliver a bone-chilling cinematic experience. It aims to be a standout addition to the King-inspired horror canon.

Mark your calendars for February 21, and prepare for a terrifying journey with The Monkey.
