‘Time Bandits’ TV Adaptation by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement – Series Trailer

Lisa Kudrow leads the cast in Apple TV+’s new ‘Time Bandits’ adventure.

“Apple TV+ just dropped the trailer for their new live-action comedy adventure series “Time Bandits.” It is the first-ever TV adaptation of the cult classic movie of the same name. The original film was released in 1981 and was directed by Terry Gilliam. The cult classic has always been a favorite among fantasy and adventure fans. Now, Jemaine Clement, Iain Morris, and Taika Waititi have given the whimsical and unpredictable time and space journey a fresh spin for a new audience.

“Time Bandits” follows a ragtag group of time-traveling thieves and their newest recruit, an 11-year-old history buff named Kevin. Together, they embark on a thrilling quest to save Kevin’s parents — and the world. The 10-episode series is set to premiere globally, with the first two episodes on Wednesday, July 24. It will be followed by two new episodes every Wednesday through August 21, 2024. Watch the trailer below!

Guided by Lisa Kudrow, who plays the eccentric leader of the bandits, the crew sets off on epic adventures while facing threats from evil forces that jeopardize their conquests and their lives. As they traverse through time and space, the gang encounters some of the most fascinating historical periods, relying on Kevin’s extensive knowledge to navigate each situation. The “Time Bandits” witness the creation of Stonehenge, experience the Trojan Horse in action, escape dinosaurs in the prehistoric ages, wreak havoc during medieval times, and much more. From the Ice Age to ancient civilizations and the Harlem Renaissance, their journey is packed with excitement and danger.
