First look at Tom Holland’s Spider-Man suit in ‘Brand New Day’.

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures celebrated Spider-Man Day with a surprise treat for fans—a brief but buzzworthy teaser showing off Tom Holland’s brand-new Spider-Man suit.
The nine-second teaser, posted on August 1, showcases a close-up of Holland’s updated costume from the upcoming MCU entry Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The video is captioned simply, “Something brand new is coming,” and has already sparked major conversation online.
What caught fans’ attention most is the return of raised black webbing, a design element not seen since Andrew Garfield’s era and most famously featured in Tobey Maguire’s suits from Sam Raimi’s trilogy. This new spandex suit marks the first time Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has sported raised rubbery webbing, giving the design a bolder, more tactile feel that calls back to two generations of cinematic Spider-Men.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is the fourth film in the Holland-led series and is set to swing into theaters on July 31, 2026. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and written by returning franchise scribes Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Though the teaser didn’t offer any plot details, it marks the first official footage from the next chapter in the Spider-Man saga—one that promises a fresh start following the multiverse-shattering events of No Way Home. With the tagline “Brand New Day,” the title hints at a narrative reset or a grounded reintroduction of Peter Parker following the memory wipe.
As fans speculate on who else might return or debut in the film, one thing’s for sure: the new suit already has the internet buzzing. And if this early tease is any indication, Spider-Man: Brand New Day could be swinging toward a new golden era for the wall-crawler.
