The Prince of Darkness lives on as Universal transforms Ozzy Osbourne’s legendary music, imagery, and imagination into an immersive Halloween Horror Nights experience on both coasts.

Heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne’s legacy will continue to echo through the darkness this Halloween as Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort pay tribute to the legendary rocker with an all-original haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights.
Titled Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, the new experience celebrates the groundbreaking artist’s solo career by taking guests through some of the most unforgettable imagery, music, and moments that defined more than four decades of heavy metal history. The attraction debuts on August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Designed as a living horror movie, the haunted house transforms Ozzy’s unmistakable style into a terrifying journey that blends music, mythology, and nightmare-fueled visuals worthy of the Prince of Darkness himself.
A Journey Through Ozzy’s Legendary Solo Career
Guests will board the legendary “Crazy Train” and enter a surreal world inspired by Ozzy Osbourne’s solo discography, spanning 45 years of music.

The haunted house features music and inspiration drawn from several of his most influential albums, including:
- Blizzard of Ozz (1980)
- Diary of a Madman (1981)
- Bark at the Moon (1983)
- No More Tears (1991)
- Scream (2010)
- Ordinary Man (2020)
Rather than serving as a traditional biographical experience, Universal describes the attraction as a horror-fueled celebration of Ozzy’s creativity, imagination, and unmistakable artistic vision.
Sharon and Jack Osbourne Celebrate the Tribute
Ozzy’s family praised Universal’s interpretation of his extraordinary career.
“Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries, and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created,” Sharon and Jack Osbourne jointly stated. “Halloween Horror Nights has done an incredible job bringing that spirit to life. Walking through these haunted houses, you’ll recognize so many moments inspired by his music and imagination. It’s a wonderful tribute to Ozzy, and we hope fans have as much fun experiencing it as he would have had seeing it come together.”
Their endorsement underscores the authenticity behind the collaboration, which aims to honor both Ozzy’s music and the larger-than-life persona that captivated generations of fans.
Universal Studios Hollywood Explores Ozzy’s Origins
The Hollywood version begins where John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne’s story started—in Birmingham, England.
The experience opens with the iconic “Crazy Train” before transporting guests through different eras of Ozzy’s life and career. Fans will encounter memorable incarnations of the rock legend, including Madman Ozzy, Werewolf Ozzy, and ultimately the Prince of Darkness himself.
The journey also ventures inside the haunting Osbourne Asylum, inspired by the legendary Diary of a Madman album.
John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, explained why honoring Ozzy was such an important project.
“Ozzy Osbourne didn’t just help define heavy metal—he created a cultural phenomenon that has influenced generations of music, art and horror. We previously had the privilege of collaborating with Ozzy and Black Sabbath, and this new haunted house is an opportunity to honor his extraordinary solo career. Inspired by all 13 of his albums, guests will journey through the dark, surreal worlds that fueled his music and cemented his legacy as the one and only Prince of Darkness.”
Universal Orlando Focuses on Ozzy’s Dark Fantasy Worlds
While Hollywood explores Ozzy’s life story, Universal Orlando delivers a more fantastical nightmare.
Guests will navigate ancient ruins, eerie dungeons, and otherworldly landscapes before boarding the Crazy Train into horrifying realms inspired by the artwork from albums such as:
- Diary of a Madman
- Bark at the Moon
- The Ultimate Sin
- Black Rain
The Orlando experience emphasizes the darker imagery and heavier musical evolution of Ozzy’s later solo career, bringing his elaborate album artwork to life as a terrifying physical environment.
Mike Aiello, Senior Director of Entertainment Creative Development at Universal Orlando Resort, said authenticity remained the driving force behind the attraction.
“We are honored to collaborate with the Osbourne family to create a unique haunted house that celebrates the legacy of Ozzy Osbourne. It was important for us to create an authentic experience that brings Ozzy’s creativity and personality to life in an eerily immersive new way. Fans will discover so many meaningful details, including a few Easter Eggs, as they navigate memorable dark and twisted moments inspired by his iconic musical career.”
Exclusive Ozzy Merchandise Also Arrives
Fans can also commemorate the experience with exclusive limited-release merchandise inspired by the haunted houses.

The collection includes:
- Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness T-shirt
- Ozzy acrylic collectible figure compatible with the separately sold Infernal Carnival display
The merchandise is currently available inside Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. It also launches on July 30 at 9 a.m. PT through Universal’s online store.
A Fitting Tribute to the Prince of Darkness
Few musicians have left a mark on both music and horror culture quite like Ozzy Osbourne. His theatrical performances, haunting imagery, and fearless creativity made him one of rock’s most recognizable figures while inspiring generations of artists, filmmakers, and horror fans alike.
With Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, Halloween Horror Nights transforms that legacy into one of its most ambitious music-inspired original attractions yet. Rather than simply revisiting classic songs, the experience invites guests to step directly into Ozzy’s twisted imagination, celebrating the career of an artist whose influence continues to resonate across music, pop culture, and horror long after his final performance.
