“Wallace & Gromit are back in Netflix’s ‘Vengeance Most Fowl.’

Netflix has just announced “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl,” the latest stop-motion adventure featuring our favorite inventor and his loyal pooch. This time, they’re up against a familiar foe: Feathers McGraw, the villainous penguin from the 1993 short film “The Wrong Trousers.” After a brief cameo in last year’s “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget,” Feathers is back and seeking revenge in full force.
Directed by Aardman’s four-time Academy Award-winning Nick Park and Emmy Award-nominated Merlin Crossingham, “Vengeance Most Fowl” promises a new epic adventure. The story centers on Gromit’s concern that Wallace is becoming overly dependent on his inventions. This worry proves justified when Wallace creates a “smart” gnome that seemingly develops a mind of its own. As it turns out, a vengeful figure from Wallace and Gromit’s past may be pulling the strings. It’s up to Gromit to save the day, ensuring Wallace can continue his inventive pursuits.
Aardman stalwart Ben Whitehead is taking over the voice of Wallace after Peter Sallis’s passing in 2017.
As always, Gromit and Feathers McGraw remain silent, with their personalities brought to life by Aardman’s exceptional team of stop-motion animators. The cast also includes Peter Kay, reprising his role as PC Mackintosh from “Were-Rabbit,” along with Lauren Patel, Reece Shearsmith, Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh, Muzz Khan, and Lenny Henry.

Fr longtime fans, this is another exciting chapter in a beloved series that began in 1989 with “A Grand Day Out.” This Oscar-nominated short introduced the cheese-loving duo and was initially Nick Park’s graduation project before completion at Aardman. The franchise’s first Oscar win came with “The Wrong Trousers” in 1993, introducing Feathers McGraw. This was followed by another Oscar win for “A Close Shave” in 1995, which also introduced Shaun the Sheep. Shaun became a breakout star, leading to his own TV show, Christmas special, and two feature films, including “A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon,” also on Netflix. Wallace and Gromit’s adventures went feature-length with “The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” in 2006, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, a first for a stop-motion film. The 2008 short film “A Matter of Loaf and Death” received another Oscar nomination, solidifying the duo’s place in animation history.

With “Vengeance Most Fowl,” Wallace & Gromit return to Netflix this winter, promising to delight fans old and new with their charming, inventive escapades. Read more News on Nerdtropolis and make sure to subscribe to our Channel.
