The final season of Marvel’s “What If…?” premieres on Disney+ on December 22nd.

Marvel Animation’s What If…? is set to return to Disney+ for its highly anticipated third and final season, beginning December 22, 2024. The animated series, acclaimed for its bold reimaginings of iconic Marvel characters and stories, will release eight episodes daily through December 29, offering fans a unique binge experience through the holiday season.

The Season 3 trailer below teases an expansive journey through the multiverse. Viewers can explore the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from brand-new angles. With What If…?, Marvel asks the question: “What would happen if familiar heroes made different choices?” This final season will have more jaw-dropping twists as beloved characters make unexpected decisions that reshape their destinies.
The Watcher, voiced by Jeffrey Wright, returns as the all-seeing guide of the series.
He navigates audiences through alternate realities that blend new genres and elevated spectacles. Wright’s role has been pivotal in anchoring the multiverse concept, adding gravity to each episode’s unpredictable storyline. Season 3’s diverse and talented voice cast features several returning MCU actors reprising their roles. Fans can look forward to the return of characters like Captain America (Sam Wilson), The Winter Soldier (Bucky Barnes), and Hulk (Bruce Banner). Other characters include Red Guardian, Captain Peggy Carter, and Agatha Harkness. Additionally, Shang-Chi and the electrifying Storm, reimagined here as the Goddess of Thunder, will return.

The series’ creative team, including directors Bryan Andrews and Stephan Franck, alongside writers Matthew Chauncey, Ryan Little, and A.C.
