“Wicked: For Good” Lands on Digital and 4K With Sing-Along Edition

“Wicked: For Good” arrives on Digital this month, then 4K and Blu-ray in January.

Oz arrives in your living room this New Year as Universal Pictures Home Entertainment releases “Wicked: For Good” on digital platforms for purchase or rental starting December 30. The release includes two versions of the film. One is an exclusive sing-along edition. The other is the standard feature. Universal is also promising over one hour of bonus content. That slate includes deleted scenes and a 50-plus-minute making-of that follows the cast and filmmakers. You can read our review here.

The studio will also roll out physical editions soon after. Fans can pre-order now on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Those formats will arrive Jan. 20, 2026. “Wicked: For Good” arrives at home after a big theatrical run. The film debuted at No. 1 worldwide. It earned $223 million worldwide in its opening weekend.

Where the Story Picks Up

The film follows Elphaba and Glinda as they take divergent paths. Elphaba, portrayed by Cynthia Erivo, lives in exile and is branded by Oz as the Wicked Witch of the West. She continues her effort to expose the Wizard.

Glinda, played by Ariana Grande, represents Goodness and enjoys status in Emerald City. The narrative changes when a girl from Kansas arrives, prompting Elphaba and Glinda to reunite. Their choices affect themselves and Oz.

What You Get When You Buy

Buyers will get exclusive bonus features. The sing-along edition offers a full alternate feature-length version. It invites fans to raise their voices as Elphaba and Glinda’s destiny unfolds. Pre-order the 4K.

The digital release features several deleted scenes, such as:

  • “Glinda Train Tour,” with Ariana Grande, Michelle Yeoh, and Bowen Yang.
  • “Even You, Fiyero,” with Cynthia Erivo.
  • “Return to the Governor’s Mansion,” with Cynthia Erivo.
  • “Friendship Montage,” featuring Grande, Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, and Marissa Bode.
  • “The Wizard is Sentimental,” featuring Grande and Jeff Goldblum.

Behind-the-Scenes, New Songs, and Commentary

“Making Wicked: For Good” runs over 50 minutes and documents the process from designing Oz to filming dual productions. Other featurettes explore Jon M. Chu’s direction, the world of Oz, and new songs for Elphaba and Glinda. The release also includes a commentary with director Jon M. Chu. Select featurettes are exclusive to the digital product.

Credits and Cast

The film adapts the stage musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. It draws from Gregory Maguire’s bestselling novel. Chu directs and reunites key collaborators for a big-screen finish.

The cast includes Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum. Christopher Scott serves as the choreographer. John Powell and Stephen Schwartz provide the score. Paul Tazewell designed the costumes.
