Watch the chilling teaser for Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man.

From Blumhouse and Leigh Whannell, the creative force behind the modern horror hit The Invisible Man, comes the next spine-tingling chapter in reimagining classic monsters: Wolf Man. It is set to hit theaters on January 17th. Wolf Man promises a new take on the age-old legend of the werewolf, blending terror and suspense freshly and thrillingly.

Christopher Abbott stars as Blake, a man grappling with his deteriorating marriage and a dark family legacy. When Blake’s estranged father mysteriously vanishes and is presumed dead, he inherits the family’s secluded farmhouse in rural Oregon. Seeking an escape from their crumbling city life, Blake convinces his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Julia Garner), to spend a weekend at the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matilda Firth).
However, the family getaway quickly descends into a nightmare. As they approach the eerie farmhouse on a foggy night, an unseen animal attacks them. Frightened and desperate, the family manages to escape into the house. However they soon find themselves trapped inside as the creature prowls the grounds. While the danger outside escalates, an even greater horror begins to take shape within their walls: Blake himself starts exhibiting strange behavior and soon undergoes a horrifying transformation. Faced with the terrifying reality of her husband’s condition, Charlotte must decide whether the real threat lies outside the house—or within.
Wolf Man also co-stars Sam Jaeger, Ben Prendergast, and Benedict Hardie. Produced by Blumhouse founder Jason Blum, Wolf Man also boasts an impressive lineup of executive producers. It includes Ryan Gosling, who was previously cast, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner, and Leigh Whannell himself. Wolf Man is poised to become the next must-see monster movie of 2025 when it howls into theaters this January.
